What is it?

Microfluidic cartridges are precision-designed and manufactured cartridges for nanoparticle formulation. The cartridges function as a part of the NanoAssemblr system for producing reliable and reproducible nanoparticle formulations.


What is microfluidics mixing?

Microfluidics is the science of controlling fluid, in this application, we can look at is as mixing at small micrometer scales.

Many traditional ways of formulation nanoparticles are top-down methodologies, such as extrusion and homogenization. Precision Nanosystems’ microfluidics provides a bottom-up methodology, using “non-turbulent microfluidic mixing provides unparalleled control over nanoparticle assembly that is scalable from discovery to the clinic.”

Design Details

Precision Design

Microfluidics channel and details from 10s to 100s of micrometers.

Material Compatibility

All materials used and sealing methodologies must be compatible with a wide range of solvents.

Manufacturability

Close collaboration with suppliers for manufacturing and quality control.

Prototyping & Temporary Production Runs

Prototyping and temporary production runs combined in house manufacturing in cleanroom environment and use of rapid prototyping.
